10 Best Ways To Remove Unwanted Hair.

Laser hair removal

There is a lot of hair that grows on the body, and not all are wanted.

You pluck your eyebrows, thread your face, and wax your legs, but do you know how to remove unwanted hair from other parts of your body?

One way to keep your armpit hair, bikini line and back from being a nuisance is by shaving them off.

Shaving can be carried out at home, or you could find someone who has the equipment for it in their salon.

I will discuss the various hair removal techniques that may suit you best.

I will explore other options, including natural methods that you may want to consider.

In some cases, shaving may be the best hair removal option.

Shaving is effective on all body areas and can be used to maintain smooth skin.

Despite that, some drawbacks need to be viewed before deciding on this method for hair removal:

Razor bumps

Your cutting blades commonly used may lead to razor burn, which can cause ugly rashes around sensitive parts, such as the bikini line.

Shaving also leads to stubble, which makes plucking more problematic until they regrow again.

Also, a shave isn’t good right after a pluck session.

Often when you start plucking your hair, it may not grow back as thick.

Skin irritation

The repeated action of using blunt blades over delicate skin may cause rash, cuts and razor burns.

It’s less about the tool you use to remove your body hair, and more about shaving preparation and technique.

Shaving preparation

Follow these tips the next time you shave, so that you can achieve a clean and comfortable shave.

Start by wetting your hair and skin to soften it.

Next, you may want to consider using a gel or cream if you have dry and sensitive skin.

This is important because it will protect your skin from irritation and help with the razor glide.

If using a new blade

It’s best to shave in the direction of hair growth, which is usually away from your heart.

Here it helps prevent ingrown hairs that can form around sensitive parts, such as the bikini line.

Be sure not to press too hard against dry or wet skin when shaving, because this may cause cuts and burns.

Apply an aftershave moisturiser to help reduce itching and help cuts heal more quickly.

Warning: If you have acne, you may want to consider electric or disposable blades.

Men with acne should take special care while shaving. Shaving can irritate your skin, making acne worse.

Cold wax or hot wax, which is better?

No burns

One benefit of cold wax over hot hair removal methods, like depilatories and shaving, is that you do not run the risk of severe burns.

Cold-waxing involves applying lukewarm to room temperature strips (or hardening cream) to an area, then ripping them off quickly in a single motion with little pressure applied.

You are left bare for several minutes while your skin heals itself naturally, before re-applying more strip.

This way there’s no need for harsh chemicals either!

More user-friendly: Cold-warping also makes it easier than ever, as all pre-cut shaped strips come on one backing sheet, making application simple – just pop the desired amount onto clean, dry skin press.

Hair Removal Creams or prescription cream

One of the most popular hair removal treatments for women is laser therapy, which can be used to cover areas on their face where they don’t want any more hairs.

The drawback of cream is that it can be time-consuming and expensive.

The benefit would be that you have a range to choose from which will suit your budget and lifestyle.

If you want to use a prescription cream, bear in mind, it may contain ingredients such as eflornithine hydrochloride.

Consult with your dermatologist before using prescription cream.

Plucking or Threading

Plucking and threading both have their pros and cons.

For plucking, the downside is that you might pull hairs from your armpits, which can cause more pain in sensitive areas.

Yet with threading, cotton threads are being used, so there are fewer chances of breaking skin cells – but be prepared for irritation caused by an object repeatedly moving across your face.

This method also takes longer, so it’s not recommended for those who want to get the job finished quickly.

Laser Hair Removal and other options

Laser hair removal has its benefits and drawbacks when it comes to cost.

But if you have a darker body hair colour with coarse hairs that don’t respond well to shaving or waxing, this could be the best option for your skincare needs.

Laser hair removal is the perfect way to say goodbye to leg and arm hairs.

In only one or two sessions, your skin will be completely free of all that unwanted fuzz!

Side effects

There are some side effects, such as burns and blistering, which means you may need time off work after the treatment.

Some skin types don’t respond well. It is clear that laser treatment will not permanently get rid of hair growths, at any rate, better than shaving daily.

Nevertheless, lasers will miss individual hairs, meaning these remaining hairs could grow back more stubborn.

In this method, an electric current is sent to the hair follicles. As a result, it damages the follicle and stopped the hair from growing further.

A process like this will take a few sessions, because the electrolysis method is gradual, taking place over weeks or months.

This treatment can only remove hair in patches and not from the entire body, which means you’ll need to return for more sessions, so it’s a tedious process.

Overall, this treatment is beneficial because it has no side effects.

To remove unwanted hair in this method, you have to use a chemical product like a gel, cream or lotion, which means it’s not as safe.

The chemicals work by dissolving hair, and the result is that the dissolved hairs can be easily wiped away or washed off

This method works for areas where you want to remove only a small amount of unwanted hair at once, because after using this treatment, your skin will feel dry.

For people with sensitive skins, there are possibilities of side effects.

This is a different variant of facial shaving that takes out the top layer of your skin and hair.

You can do this by using an exfoliating scalpel number 3.

This is a time-consuming method of removing hair, but can be effective.

You will need to leave the skin for up to three days before you can do anything with it, so make sure you plan!

This may not suit everyone, and I would recommend discussing this method in depth with your doctor first.

Nose trimmers

Nose trimmers are perfect for those with unsightly nose hair sticking out of their noses.

You can trim the nasal hairs, thin them, or use a shaver to remove some without removing too many at once.

A clipper is another option that will maintain your nasal hair while keeping it under control and not overly done up.

Vaniqa cream

This is an FDA approved product used to reduce the amount of hair on your body.

It has been tested and is known for its efficacy in reducing excessive facial hair growth, as well as unwanted hair found elsewhere on the body.

This will need a prescription before you purchase.

You can take this medicine orally or applied onto the skin that needs treatment.

This may not suit everyone’s tastes regarding how they feel about taking pills, so make sure you read up first!

Vaniqa side effects – there are reports from those using Vaniqa experiencing dryness of skin, scalp rash and unusual tiredness (particularly when combined with other medicines).

There appears to be lessening in the natural endorphin response, which could lead to depression.

This medicine can also cause problems when taking certain pills, such as birth control pills or cholesterol tablets.

If you’re on any other medication, please consult your doctor first for the advice!

People who prefer natural therapies, there are many hair removal remedies available.

These remedies may not only remove hair, but also reduce hair growth, and over time may result in permanent hair elimination.

Perhaps you would prefer the natural route of sugar waxing, honey or drinking spearmint tea to prevent hair growth.

This could be one of the safest ways of hair removal, but I would strongly recommend discussing it with your doctor first to find the correct solution.

Removing unwanted hair from your body can be achieved in several ways, but waxing offers the widest range of coverage.

The downside to waxing is that it can be messy, painful, and requires skill.

Check this video on how to do it correctly.

Sugar waxing`

The Greeks and the Egyptians knew that sugar waxing was an excellent way to remove hair.

It is applied directly onto your skin where it hardens, then pulls off, taking all hairs with it!

Unlike traditional waxing, sugar waxing does not remove the top layer of your skin.

Sugar waxing can be gentler on your skin and is much less painful.

The sugar sticks to the hair, not to the skin.

Another benefit is that instead of using petroleum-based products or chemicals, you now have a natural, safe product to use at home.

You can customize your recipes by adding honey, lemon juice and sugar.

It is easy to make, inexpensive, and natural!

It also makes your skin softer and can remove unwanted hair.

To do this, cut and half a fresh, ripe papaya, then grate the outside layer and mix it with one or two spoons of turmeric into a paste.

Leave the paste on your body or face for 10-20 minutes and wash it away with warm water.

Baking soda and Tumeric

Mix both one tablespoon of baking soda and turmeric with water into a paste.

Apply and gently massage the area and leave it for 15-20 minutes before washing off with warm water.
