So read on and find the method that is right for you!

Basics of Lightening Process

How can you lighten your hair in the best methods?

Hair color is made from a chemical called melanin, which uniquely makes your skin or eye color.

Eumelanin is a type of pigment that makes hair brown and black. Pheomelanin makes some hair gold or red too.

Furthermore, gray or white color is influenced by the amount of melanin present in the hair follicles.

Lightening a hair shaft means opening the hair shaft to allow bleach to be removed. For this reason, the hair will be lighten.

The lightening process depends on how dark your hair is to start with. If it is light brown, you may only need a gentle lightener.

If your hair is darker (like black), you would need a stronger lightener that can open the shaft more.

The lightening process will also depend on what type of lightener you are using.

There are two types of lighteners:

– Permanent lighteners

– Temporary lighteners

Permanent lighteners contain peroxide, which is a bleaching agent. It breaks down the melanin in your hair and makes it lighter. The downside is that it can damage your hair.

In fact, temporary lighteners do not contain peroxide. They usually contain ammonia.

Ammonia opens the hair shaft to allow the lightener to work better. The downside is that it can also damage your hair.

Sea salt

Unrefined salt (sea salt), refined salt (table salt), and iodized salt are salts used in nutrition.

The most beneficial salt is sea salt. This is because it can help restore fluid equilibrium in our bodies, unlike other salts.
